Steve Earle Performs
City of Immigrants

Live at Harper House • January 14, 2026

Earlier this year, Harper House Music Foundation presented an intimate Steve Earle performance to benefit The Keswell School, an educational program for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This is his performance of City of Immigrants.

Harper House Music Foundation

Rooted in the belief that music is a vital and universal source of connection, joy, and meaning, Harper House Music Foundation (HHMF) seeks to be an agent of change by facilitating efforts that help artists share their work, lead stable and healthy lives, and preserve their unique legacies.

As a public charity centered on grantmaking and strategic investments, HHMF addresses infrastructure and funding gaps while supporting a diverse music landscape.

Through radical collaboration and intentional stewardship of resources, HHMF contributes to a world where all artists can flourish, inspiring audiences and ultimately enriching our collective well-being.

Since our founding in March 2024, we have funded, raised or committed support totaling over $3 million.

Featured Project

The Criterion Theatre

Located in downtown Bar Harbor, the Criterion is only one of two Art Deco theaters in the state of Maine; it features a hallmark vintage marquee, a floating balcony, and its original 750+ seat auditorium.

In April 2025, our public charity committed $1 million to the theatre for operational, programming, and preservation under the leadership of local summer residents Stephen and Allison Sullens.

As the new stewards of the Criterion, this effort revitalizes the historic theatre as a destination for prolific artists and creative hub for the Mount Desert Island Community.
